Non-Religious Funeral Services
Here at Button & Family we know that not everyone practices a religion – that’s why we offer a non-religious funeral option, to ensure everyone’s last wishes are met.
Our mission is to truly reflect your loved one’s unique life and personality and so, our award-winning team are dedicated to arranging a fitting, non-religious send-off for your loved one. To ensure you always receive a high level of care and service standards, we can introduce the family of the deceased to a humanist or civil funeral celebrant contact who has been vetted by us – so you can be sure you’re happy with single detail.
Non-religious funerals can be held in a number of different venues. Most are typically held in crematoriums, cemetery buildings or at the graveside, but in the past we have arranged ceremonies with the coffin present in families’ own homes, gardens, marquees and hotel function rooms.
Our non-religious ceremonies may include any of the following:
- Music – live or recorded
- Personal tributes – these can be written by the celebrant or family and friends, and can be read out by those people or the celebrant
- Poems and readings – we have lots of lovely poems and readings to choose from, or you may wish to bring your own
- Silent reflection – for personal thoughts or private prayer for those with a faith
- Simple, meaningful rituals – placing of items with the coffin such as flowers or a private letter, balloon or dove releases, or other little acts that are personal to you and your family
